Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
Calling Parish, Community or Town Councils! We can help you to create hassle free, compliant websites as we have the tools, technology and experience to do so. As you may know, the deadline of 23rd September 2020 is looming for your organisation to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
So what are the guidelines, in a nutshell? They relate to the content of your website entirely, and the requirement is for your site to be accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. Your website will need to have the facility to add text, which describes a picture to someone who is visually impaired. Similarly, with subtitles on any videos that you have playing on your website. You can see the full checklist here.
So you need a website that is super easy and quick to edit. Our websites, are just that. We partner with it'seeze, who are industry experts with 5 star Trustpilot ratings. Our websites have a front end content management system, so anyone can log in and make changes, you do not have to be a technical person! Security is paramount and we invest our time and energy into making sure that we update and maintain our security systems regularly. Finally, experience is key when working with a web designer, and you can take a look at some other council websites that we have worked on here.
We are happy to have a socially distant meeting, even outdoors if that works for you. Or we can organise a video meeting. With September, around the corner we would urge you to act now to ensure that you are compliant and ready to serve all users online.
